CINCINNATI – TECT Power, an industry leader in the manufacture of critical components and assemblies for aerospace, industrial and steam turbine engines, has committed a $500,000 donation to the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering & Applied Sciences. The multi-year donation will provide partial funding for a new engineering and applied science learning center and the college's annual engineering and applied science awards event, while fully funding several annual merit scholarships for students of the college. "We are very happy to deepen our relationship with the University of Cincinnati," said Robert Cohen, president of TECT Power. "UC engineers are a major contributor to our continued success in a technology-driven business. Continued support of students and programs in technical fields will enable U.S. manufacturers to remain at the forefront of our fields." The donation is made possible by TECT Power and The Glass Foundation, a charitable organization founded by University of Cincinnati Alumni Kenneth and Nancy Glass to support education and historical/environmental preservation in western North Carolina and the communities in which TECT operates.
